Recently, a customer using our Shore Power Cable (AMP cable) contacted us with a concern:

Our 185 mm² conductor appeared larger than the cables of the same cross-section they had previously purchased from another supplier, making it difficult to install the copper lugs.

After receiving the feedback, our design and production team and I responded immediately. We conducted an on-site inspection of identical cables in stock and reviewed process control documents covering every stage from single wires to stranded conductors.

The investigation confirmed that this discrepancy was not caused by any manufacturing defect. Instead, the variation in conductor dimensions stems from different design practices adopted by various manufacturers — while all still comply with the nominal cross-section standard.

For certified products, consistency matters.

Our production processes strictly follow approved product designs, certification criteria, and standardized manufacturing specifications. Every certified cable is manufactured based on the identical verified structure used during certification testing and approval.
