Engineering Capability Built on Experience
These certifications are the result of decades of continuous engineering development. Hebei Huatong began research and development of mining cables in 1993, becoming one of the earliest Chinese manufacturers engaged in systematic mining cable design, testing, and standardization work. The company has long participated as a key member in China’s mining cable standardization framework.
The Industrial Origins Behind Our Mining Expertise
Hebei Huatong is located in Xugezhuang town, Fengnan District, Tangshan, Hebei Province, China. Tangshan is widely recognized as one of the birthplaces of modern Chinese industry. In the late Qing Dynasty, the region became a center of coal mining, metallurgy, and railway development, playing a foundational role in China’s early industrialization.
Xugezhuang town itself holds a significant place in this history. During the Self-Strengthening Movement, statesman Li Hongzhang promoted the construction of railways and waterways to support coal transportation and industrial logistics. The Xugezhuang town Railway and the Xugezhuang town Canal were built to serve mining and industrial needs, marking important milestones in China’s transition toward modern industry.
Today, the Xugezhuang town Canal still flows through Fengnan District, passing near Fengnan No.1 High School, approximately 5 kilometers from Hebei Huatong’s manufacturing base. It remains a tangible historical witness to Tangshan’s role as a cradle of China’s modern industrial system.
